The concept of petticoat and blouse were imposed. <br />The traditional saris are most of the time more conducive to free movement -however, the post colonial Victorian minded often mistake the present day sari as an Indian garment which it is not-it is a product of the Missionary mentality. <br />the petticoat and blouse are both bad for health due to the compression at certain places.
